Security incident response is the process of identifying, containing and remediating adverse or malicious events affecting UofL systems, data or networks. The ITS Enterprise Security team coordinates incident response to protect university resources and minimize impact.

Incident investigation is the process of analyzing security incidents to determine cause, impact and remediation steps. The ITS Enterprise Security team leads investigations to protect university resources and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
