CardBox: How to Access and Use Cloud Storage
Before You Begin:
- You need an active UofL user account.
- Make sure you have your UofL username and password.
- If you do not have a CardBox account request one through the Identity Management Portal.
Objective or Task:
Access CardBox and start storing, sharing and collaborating on files securely.
Instructions:

Request a CardBox Account
- Go to the Identity Management Portal.
- Sign in with your UofL credentials.
- Under Requests select Request Access.
- Follow the four steps to request CardBox.
- Wait for a confirmation email (usually within one business day).

Log In to CardBox

Create a New Folder
- Click the New button.
- Select Folder.
- Enter a folder name.
- (Optional) Add collaborators by entering their email addresses.
- Click Create.

Upload Files or Folders
- Open the folder where you want to upload files.
- Click the Upload button.
- Choose Files or Folders.
- Select files or folders from your computer and click Open.

Share Files or Folders
- Right-click the file or folder you want to share.
- Select Share.
- Choose to invite collaborators by email or generate a shared link.
- Set permissions as needed.

Access and Edit Files Anywhere
- Download the Box Drive client for desktop access or use the mobile app.
- Edit files directly in CardBox or sync changes from your device.

Collaborate and Manage Files
- Use comments, tasks and version control to work with your team.
- Set notifications and manage folder properties as needed.
Outcome:
After following these steps you will have access to CardBox, be able to upload and organize files and collaborate securely with others at UofL or externally.
