Research Administration Systems

Research Computing and Applications

Research Computing provides cutting-edge computational and storage resources, and expert support to drive innovation and discovery at the University of Louisville (UofL).

There are three shared high performance computing systems and one shared storage system available on-premises to UofL students, faculty, and staff for performing cutting-edge "in silico" research. We provide support for: large-scale data management, handling regulated data and compliant computing, accessing the national cyberinfrastructure including a cloud computing platform, and hosting dedicated hardware in a data center environment. Expert consultation for software and workflow optimization are also available.

Research Data Services

Support of the research data life cycle, including data creation; discovery and collection; analysis and visualization; storage, backup, and transfer; and research data policy compliance. Access to additional national and partner resources for data services and collection.

Research Software

Comprehensive support for standard and researcher-requested software applications, libraries, and computational tools. Software package management, research software development, research software optimization or troubleshooting, workflow engineering, securing access to software, and software associated with physical specimens.
