Most UofL classrooms, within a particular building or throughout an entire building, are supported by the college or department responsible for the room and have designated technology personnel. If you are in immediate need of portable classroom technology (digital projector, desktop, DVD player, etc.) or without appropriate support for multi-media/integrated technology systems, we can assist.


We maintain and manage UofL's wireless (Wi-Fi) network on all campuses with 802.11n dual band 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi. With four different types of wireless access, we have options for the best connectivity and extended, certified access depending on your needs and UofL sign-in level.


Our GlobalProtect Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows users in a remote location or on a public network to securely connect to protected university resources not usually accessible off-campus. Requesting an account and installing software is needed.


Canon provides the University of Louisville's print and mail services, managing public and departmental printers, copiers, and scanners across campus. Students can print from campus computers or their personal devices via the web portal or wireless client, with charges applied to their Cardinal Card. Faculty, staff, and students can also find support for Canon devices through various university IT resources and service centers.


End-to-end management of the university’s Drupal CMS infrastructure hosted on the Acquia Cloud Platform. This service ensures secure, scalable, and high-performing web environments for institutional websites. Key offerings include infrastructure oversight, platform maintenance, performance optimization and issue resolution.


Microsoft Outlook Email is provided to University of Louisville faculty, staff and students for secure, reliable email communication through Microsoft 365. Outlook supports professional correspondence, calendar scheduling and contact management, ensuring seamless integration with other university systems and collaboration tools.


Physical Security Systems/Access Control Division of Public Safety provides managed physical security services to support secure access to university buildings and facilities. These services include oversight of card access systems, deployment of security devices, resolution of access issues and user access management. The infrastructure is designed to ensure safety, accountability and operational continuity across campus.


Support for MS Forms can be used within Office365 applications, such as Excel, SharePoint, Teams and others.


Webex is the University of Louisville’s preferred telephone service. The Webex application can be used on a desktop, laptop, tablet or cellular device to make and receive phone calls using your UofL phone number. Webex calling allows encrypted calls from any location, whether on or off campus. Webex also allows self-service control over your phone settings including call forwarding, voicemail, do not disturb, blocking numbers and more.


Support of the centralized management of users, computers, and other network resources within UofL's Windows-based network.


For major technology projects and implementations that have community or university-wide impact, a comprehensive communication and marketing plan with various dates, types of communication/announcements and different audiences is required.

We provide a high-speed campus ethernet data network interconnecting university buildings on three campuses. The wired campus network provides faculty, staff and students the fastest and most secure access to campus servers, the Internet and our research networks. All campus wired network connections are switched, not shared, ensuring performance and reliability.


Our service teams can consult about Voice over Internet Protocol (VolP) services and setup your network connection through a work order. There are several options of phone models available depending on your needs.


Support for identity.louisville.edu - UofL's Identity and Account Management system (IAM), where users perform regular password changes, reset a forgotten password, request accounts such as Active Directory, Authentication Services, Bitwarden, CardBox, Desktop Support (SA), Drupal, SiteImprove, OnBase, Project/Visio, Research Computing Account, Tier 1 Account, VPN Services, Web Analytics.


Cayuse is a cloud-based, electronic research administration system designed to support the full research project lifecycle. If experiencing login issues, Cayuse advises to clear your browser's cache or use an incognito window. Additionally, a Help Center is available within the system. For other system support, submit a ticket.


Services for setting up user authentication. We utilize modern authentication for single-sign-on and enable Microsoft/Office 365 advanced security sign-in features with client applications. Support is available if you have an application using POP, IMAP or other basic authentication.


Microsoft SharePoint provides a secure, scalable platform for document management, team collaboration and intranet publishing across the University of Louisville. SharePoint supports departmental and cross-functional collaboration by enabling users to create, share and manage content in real time, improving communication and operational efficiency.


Support for Duo (UL2FCTR) system, UofL's two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security to all online accounts by requiring a second piece of information before you can log into a system.


We protect the university's network by using firewalls to block unauthorized access. Changes to firewall rules, additions and custom requests are reviewed to maintain the highest level of security protection on university-wide resources.

PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) is the system of record for most academic administrative functions to manage the entire student lifecycle. It includes modules for admissions, enrollment, academic records, course scheduling and financial aid. The system supports personalized student experiences and helps UofL maintain compliance with educational regulations.


The BCC Technology Office provides technical support for the Brown Cancer Center portal.
