System Security

Systems Security services are designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of enterprise systems and data. Managed by ITS Enterprise Security, these services provide proactive defense against cyberthreats, ensure compliance with institutional policies and support the university’s mission by safeguarding critical infrastructure for students, faculty, staff and research activities.

Systems security is delivered through a combination of vulnerability management, incident response, and robust controls for enterprise systems. The ITS Enterprise Security team continuously evaluates, remediates and monitors security risks, applying best practices and technical safeguards to maintain a secure environment.

  • Access Points: Requests for vulnerability management, incident reporting, and system protection are available via online forms, the ITS Helpdesk, and direct contact with the Enterprise Security Office.
  • Service Request Procedures: Submit requests for vulnerability scans, remediation, or incident reporting using the designated online forms. For urgent security concerns, contact secureit@louisville.edu.
