Introduction

VPN (Virtual Private Network) Services using GlobalProtect at the University of Louisville provide secure remote access to university systems and resources from off-campus locations. This service enables faculty, staff and authorized users to connect to the university network as if they were on campus, ensuring data security and access to restricted services such as file shares, internal applications and licensed software. VPN services support institutional goals for flexible work, research and secure data handling.

Details

GlobalProtect VPN is available to eligible university users. It requires installation of the GlobalProtect client and authentication using university credentials.

  • Access Points: VPN access is initiated through the GlobalProtect client installed on Windows, macOS, iOS or Android devices.

How to Get Started

  1. Download the GlobalProtect client.
  2. Install the client on your device and launch the application.
  3. Enter the university portal address and authenticate using your UofL credentials.
  4. Complete UL2FCTR (Duo) authentication if prompted.
  5. Once connected, access university resources as needed.
  6. Contact the ITS HelpDesk for assistance or troubleshooting.
