The purpose of Cayuse System Management and Service Requests is to provide University of Louisville researchers, administrators and staff with comprehensive support for the Cayuse electronic research administration platform. Cayuse supports the full research project lifecycle, streamlining proposal development, award management, compliance and collaboration across the research enterprise.
Overview of Service
Cayuse is a cloud-based, web-accessible platform managed by the Office of Research and Innovation. It integrates multiple research administration applications, including Proposals (S2S), Sponsored Projects (SP), Animal Oversight (IACUC), and Hazard Safety (IBC). The system enhances efficiency, compliance, and transparency for research management at UofL.

- Legacy systems (e.g., iRIS) will be discontinued as Cayuse modules are fully adopted; COI and IRB remain in iRIS.
- Requests may require departmental or sponsor approvals.

All University of Louisville faculty, staff and research administrators involved in sponsored research are eligible for Cayuse access and support.
