User Requests CardBox Account and Receives Invitation Email

CardBox: How to Accept Your Account Invitation and Log In

 

Before You Begin:

  • Make sure you have access to your UofL email account.
  • Know your userID@louisville.edu and any password you may have set for a personal Box.com account.

Objective or Task:

Accept your CardBox invitation and log in to the UofL CardBox system.


Instructions:

  1. Check Your University Email

    • Look for an invitation email from Box.com to join the University of Louisville’s CardBox system.
  2. Open the Invitation Email

    • Click the link in the invitation email to begin the process.
  3. If You Previously Created a Personal Box.com Account

    • The invitation will be sent to your userID@louisville.edu address.
    • Click the link in the email or go to box.com in your web browser.
    • Click Log In.
    • Enter your userID@louisville.edu and the password you created for your personal Box.com account.
    • Note: This password is NOT synchronized with your ULink password.
  4. If You Forgot Your Personal Box.com Password

    • Click the Reset Password link on the Box.com Log In page.
    • Follow the instructions to reset your password.
  5. Accept the Invitation

    • Once logged in you should see a pop-up box inviting you to join the University’s instance.
    • Accept the invitation.
  6. Log In to CardBox via UofL

    • After accepting the invitation go to louisville.box.com.
    • Log in using your university credentials (userID and ULink password).

Outcome:

After completing these steps your Box.com account will be linked to the University of Louisville’s CardBox system, and you can log in using your university credentials at louisville.box.com.
