Before You Begin
- Once you sign up for email forwarding, your university email account is closed; and your account (as well as any emails in your university inbox) cannot be recovered.
- Any emails in your university email inbox before you sign up for email forwarding are not forwarded to your personal email account after you sign up for email forwarding. Any emails in your university email inbox before you sign up for email forwarding are deleted and cannot be recovered.
- Email forwarding is not available for alumni who graduated from the university prior to 1982.
Objective or Task
Set up email forwarding from your university email address to a personal email account.
Instructions
- Log in to https://identity.louisville.edu.
- Click My Profile.
- On the right side of the screen, find the Email for Life field. Click the drop-down menu and select Yes.
- In the Mail Forward field, enter the personal email address you want your emails forwarded to.
- Re-type your forward email address in the Confirm Mail Forward field.
- Click Save at the bottom of the screen.
Outcome
Emails sent to your university address (firstname.lastname@louisville.edu or userID@louisville.edu) will be forwarded to your chosen personal email account.
