Workday Financials: How to Access Training Resources

Before You Begin

  • Ensure you have a valid UofL user account and login credentials.
  • Some training modules may require specific security roles or permissions.
  • Review available training resources if you are new to Workday Financials.

Objective or Task

Learn how to locate and use Workday Financials training resources, including videos, quick reference guides and checklists for common financial tasks.

Instructions

  1. Access the Training Portal
    Go to the Workday Financials Training Resources page.

  2. Log in to Blackboard for Training
    Click the Blackboard link on the training resources page.
    Log in and select Organizations in the left menu.
    Scroll to search for Workday Finance.

  3. Begin with the Workday Finance Toolkit
    Open the Workday Finance Toolkit for foundational training and resources.

  4. Access the Calendar for Virtual Training Sessions
    In the menu, click Calendar to view and register for upcoming virtual training sessions.

  5. Browse Available Topics
    Review categories such as:

    • Purchasing and requisitions
    • Expense reports
    • Budget management
    • Supplier management
    • Financial reporting
  6. Open Training Materials
    Click on a topic to view available resources.
    a. Some items link to interactive modules or toolkits.
    b. Others provide downloadable PDFs or step-by-step guides.

  7. Search for Specific Tasks
    Use the search bar to find instructions for tasks like submitting an expense report, creating a requisition, or running a financial report.

  8. Download Reference Guides
    Save or print quick reference guides for future use.
