Before You Begin
Only university employees can request a service account.
Please have your UofL login credentials handy.
Instructions
Go to
Password and Account Management
Enter your
UofL login credentials.
Click
SIGN IN.
Click the
REQUEST HUB
tab.
Select
EXTERNAL IDENTITY
.
Select
SERVICE ACCOUNT
.
Under “User Information”, enter the display name, username, and primary email address for the service account.
Service account usernames cannot contain spaces and must be 16 characters or fewer.
Verify the owner (manager) in the gray box on the right. To change the owner, click
Select a Different Manager
.
Click
NEXT
.
Under “Set Additional Details”, enter the end date (expiration/renewal date) for the service account.
The maximum renewal period is 365 days from the request date.
Click
NEXT
.
REVIEW
the request summary, and click the
SUBMIT
button.
Enter a comment in the comment box (required). Explain why you need a service account.
Click
SUBMIT.
Look for a confirmation message on the screen.
Check your email for instructions on accessing your new service account after your request is processed.
