The Health Science Center (HSC) Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Department serves as the enterprise data and analytics partner for the organization, delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights that support academic, research, administrative and operational decision-making.
The department is responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise reporting platforms, dashboards, and data models that integrate financial, operational, payroll, research, and academic data across multiple systems, including Workday and other institutional applications. Through standardized governance, data validation, and performance monitoring, the team ensures data integrity, consistency, and transparency across the Health Science Center.
In addition to reporting and analytics development, the department manages data architecture, application buildouts, system conversions, and ticketed enhancement requests, while partnering closely with executive leadership, department administrators, and operational stakeholders to align analytics solutions with strategic priorities.
The team also leads efforts in performance management, budget analytics, variance reporting, burn rate monitoring, and enterprise-wide financial transparency through tools such as All Funds and related reporting applications.
By combining technical expertise, business acumen, and a service-oriented approach, the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Department enables informed decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term organizational sustainability across the Health Science Center.
