The purpose of AR/VR/XR/Simulation Services is to provide immersive, interactive and simulated experiences at the University of Louisville. These services empower faculty, staff and students to leverage cutting-edge technologies for experiential education, skill development and innovation.

Overview of Service

AR (Augmented Reality), VR (Virtual Reality), XR (Extended Reality), and simulation services are managed by the IDD team. The service includes consultation, design, development, deployment and support for immersive experiences on all campuses.

  • Access to hardware (headsets, controllers, simulation labs) and software platforms
  • Support for interactive 3D environments, virtual labs, and scenario-based learning
