Research Computing Data Storage and Management Services provides secure, high-capacity, and scalable storage solutions to support the university’s research community. These services ensure that research data is safely stored, efficiently managed, and readily accessible for computational workflows, collaboration, and compliance with data protection requirements. The service is designed to accelerate research, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and safeguard valuable research outputs.
Details
Data storage and management services are delivered by the Research Computing team and ITS, leveraging advanced storage systems such as CARDS and Lustre, integrated with high-performance computing (HPC) resources. The infrastructure is housed in a secure, climate-controlled data center with robust power, cooling, and network connectivity.
- Access Points: Researchers can request storage allocations and support.
- Service Request Procedures: Submit a request for storage, data transfer, or consultation. Incidents and support tickets are also available.
- Support Contacts: Email ithpc@louisville.edu or contact the Research Computing team.
- Associated Documentation: User guides, storage policies, and data management best practices are available online.
