The SOM Academic Technology Office supports digital signage for School of Medicine events, announcements, programs, and other approved communications. This service is commonly used to promote upcoming events such as research symposiums, orientations, keynote speakers, town halls, awards programs, ceremonies, showcases, and other academic or administrative activities.
Coordinators and departments may submit completed signage content for posting on designated SOM digital displays. The office manages the technical posting process so that approved information appears in the appropriate locations and within the requested timeframe when possible. Signage may highlight event dates, times, locations, speaker information, registration details, reminders, and general awareness messages to improve visibility among students, faculty, staff, visitors, and event attendees. Requests may also be tied to broader event technology needs, especially when an event requires both advance promotion and audiovisual support during the event. The Academic Technology Office may review submitted content for basic display suitability (e.g., readability and image format). Requesters are responsible for providing accurate, finalized content and ensuring the message is appropriate for the intended audience. Please fill out the Digital Signage Request form to request services.
