Departmental Print / Canon: How to Print and Email Documents at UofL

UofL’s departmental printing is managed exclusively by Canon Solutions America. Canon provides multifunction print devices, support and supplies for all university departments. You can print from your computer or personal device and email documents to Canon print queues for secure, convenient printing.

Before You Begin

Instructions

Print from a Personal or University Device

  • Upload your file to Print Central.
  • Log in with your UofL credentials.
  • Select your file in the Print Central dashboard.
  • Print from any Canon printer station on campus.

Email Documents to Canon Print Queues

  • Email your document as an attachment to BWprint@louisville.edu (black & white) or CLRprint@louisville.edu (color).
  • If using a new email address, follow the instructions to register it to your Print Central account with your UofL username and password.
  • Your document will be sent to your secure print queue and can be printed at any Canon device within 24 hours.

Retrieve and Release Your Print Job

  • Go to any Canon printer station.
  • Authenticate with your UofL card or credentials.
  • Select your print job from the secure queue and release it for printing.

Departmental Print Policies and Support

  • All print/copy equipment and services are provided by Canon; university funds cannot be used for personal or desktop printers.
  • Monochrome two-sided printing is the default; color and single-sided printing are available as needed.
