What is my UofL email address?

Your UofL email address can be found in ULink under Resources > Email Addresses. Log in with your userID and password to view your system-provided nickname (usually userID@louisville.edu) and your preferred email. The Primary Nickname (checked box) is your registered email account for sending/receiving at UofL (usually firstname.lastname@louisville.edu). Use your system-provided nickname to log in.

How do I access my UofL email?

  • Use your smart phone (see the Outlook Live Mobile Phone Features page for setup).
  • Use the Outlook web client or installed desktop client.
  • Log in at outlook.office365.com with your ULink userID@louisville.edu and your ULink password.

How do I start using my UofL email?

Activate your account in the Identity Management portal (identity.louisville.edu). Once activated, you can manage your account and others.

Will the address book include faculty and staff email addresses?

Yes, faculty and staff email addresses appear in your UofL email address book.

What is the difference between a personal contact group and a public contact group?

  • Personal contact groups: Only you can use them; can include external addresses.
  • Public contact groups: Only UofL email users; other UofL users can see and use them. Public groups may be open, restricted or closed. Faculty and staff cannot reply to UofL email groups; use direct messaging or ListServ for communication.

Are there sending or receiving limits on my UofL email?

Yes, there are limits on sending and receiving emails.
