CardBox: How to Request/Create/Upload & Sync in CardBox for Secure Cloud Storage at UofL


Before You Begin

  • Ensure you have valid UofL login credentials.
  • Identify your department’s storage and collaboration needs.

 

Instructions

Request CardBox Access

  • Go to the Password and Account Management and request CardBox access.
  • Follow the steps to set up your account and receive confirmation.
    • Enter your user ID and password.
    • Click Sign In.
    • Click the REQUEST HUB tab.
    • Select REQUEST ACCESS in the new tab.
    • Select yourself (Myself).
    • Click CONFIRM.
    • Select CardBox and click NEXT.
    • Select PERMANENT.
    • Enter a comment in the comment box (required). Entering “Requesting CardBox” is sufficient.
    • Click the SUBMIT button.
  • Look for a pop-up confirming your request was submitted.

Create and Manage Departmental Folders

  • Log in to CardBox and create folders for your department or project.
  • Invite collaborators by entering their email addresses.

Upload, Share, and Edit Files

  • Use the CardBox dashboard to upload files and folders.
  • Share files with team members or external collaborators via secure links.

Sync and Backup Files

  • Use CardBox desktop and mobile apps to sync files and enable automatic backups.
