Before You Begin:
Have your personal information ready (first name, last name, birth date and University ID number if applicable).
After you claim your account, you university account password must meet password requirements listed in the university’s password policy (
ISO-008 v2.2
).
You will need a personal email or mobile number for account recovery.
At least one recovery method is required to claim your account.
You will complete device registration for
UL2FCTR
, the University's multi-factor authentication method through Duo, as part of the account claim process.

For Students and Employees
Part 1: Accept the Terms of Use
Go to
Password and Account Management
Under
First Time Here?
, select
Claim Your Identity
Select
Next
.
Choose
Employee/Student
.
Enter your
first name
,
last name
,
birth date
, and
university student/employee ID number
.
Select
Submit
.
Review the terms of use, and select
Next
.
Part 2: Set Up Your Recovery Information
Set up your recovery information (email and/or phone number).
At least one recovery method is required
.
Enter the
PIN
sent to your recovery email or mobile number to verify recovery information, if applicable.
Select
Next
.
Part 3: Complete UL2FCTR/Duo Registration
When prompted, begin
Duo Device Registration
.
Select
a device type (e.g., mobile phone or tablet).
Enter
a device name (e.g., "My iPhone" or "Samsung").
Enter
and confirm your phone number.
Click
Submit
.
Choose a verification method:
Download the free Duo Mobile application from your preferred app store.
Send a secure link to your phone.
After you complete Duo registration, your
user ID
will appear. Make a note of your user ID.
Part 4: Set Your Password
Create and confirm your
account password
. Follow all password criteria listed on the right side of the screen.
Minimum 15 characters.
Avoid dictionary words or previously used passwords.
Use a unique password for each account.
Meet complexity requirements (uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters).
After setting your password, you’ll see a confirmation message and be redirected to a new webpage.
Check your University email for confirmation that your account has been successfully claimed. You can now log in to campus systems.
