The purpose of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Generative AI Tool access request services is to provide the UofL community with a secure, compliant and supported process for requesting access to generative AI platforms and university-approved tools. These services ensure that AI tools are used responsibly, ethically and in alignment with institutional policies and academic goals.

Overview of Service

AI tools are managed by ITS and the IDD team. Access is granted based on eligibility, intended use and compliance with university guidelines for data privacy, security and responsible AI use. The service covers initial access requests, onboarding, training and ongoing support for approved AI and GenAI platforms.

Eligibility

All University of Louisville faculty, staff, students and research teams are eligible to request access, subject to review and approval.
