Before You Begin
- Visitors and guests to the University can use the ULvisitor network for short-term, limited access.
- Sign-in is not required to use the ULvisitor network.
- Wi-FI sessions on ULvisitor are limited to 6 hours and automatically log out after 30 minutes of inactivity.
Objective or Task
Connect to the ULvisitor network.
Instructions
- On your device, select ULvisitor from the list of available wireless networks.
- Open a web browser and go to any website. You will be redirected to the ULvisitor access page (on some mobile devices, this page opens automatically).
- If your browser home page is set to a secure (https://) site, you may not be redirected to the login page. Change your home page to a non-secure site or visit http://neverssl.com to trigger the login page.
- Click Accept to acknowledge the terms of use.
- After accepting, you will see a confirmation page and can begin using the Internet (HTTP and HTTPS only).
Outcome
Visitors and guests will be able to access the UofL wireless network using either ULvisitor for short-term access.

- If you have an emergency during off hours, call the HelpDesk to be transferred to an on-call technician, or leave your request on voicemail. Your call will be returned the next day starting at 7am unless you specify a time.

- Submit a Ticket: Use the self-service portal at http://service.louisville.edu to log requests or check the status of existing tickets.
- In-Person Support: Visit the iTechConnect 1:1 help located on the lower level of the Miller Information Technology Center, Belknap Campus, during business hours.
