Before You Begin

Instructions
Purchase SPSS or AMOS
Go to the
Online Webstore
.
Purchase the SPSS or AMOS license for your operating system.
Download the software and copy the authorization key provided after purchase. a. Note: There are no refunds for electronically delivered licenses.
License an Existing Installation
Open the IBM SPSS Statistics folder on your computer.
On Windows: Click
Start
>
All Programs
>
IBM SPSS Statistics
>
IBM SPSS Statistics License Authorization Wizard
. b. On Mac: Open the
Applications
folder, open the
SPSS
folder, and launch
SPSS License Authorization Wizard
.
Follow the prompts in the wizard to enter your authorization key and complete the licensing process.
Verify Your License
Open IBM SPSS.
Click
File
>
New
>
Syntax
to open a syntax window.
Type show license.
Highlight and run the command by clicking the right-pointing arrow at the top of the syntax window.
Review the modules and expiration dates displayed.

Specify the total number of activations (equal to the number of lab computers).
Use the link provided by iTech Xpress to download the SPSS Concurrent License Manager for Windows or Mac.
Install and configure the License Manager before installing SPSS on lab computers.
