Before You Begin:
- You must have a personal (non-UofL) email address on file.
- This tool does not support service account User ID recovery.
- "Forgot User ID" does not claim your account. If you have not claimed your account, complete the Account Claim process first. You cannot use or access your account until you complete the Account Claim process.
Objective or Task
Recover your University of Louisville User ID using the self-service identity portal.
Instructions
- Go to https://identity.louisville.edu.
- Click the Forgot your User ID? link.
- Enter your first name, last name, birth date (mm/dd/yyyy) and your non-UofL recovery email address that you used when you claimed your account. If you have not claimed your account, use the personal email you used when applying to the university as a student or employee.
- Complete the reCAPTCHA and check the box to consent to receiving emails and text messages.
- Click the Submit button.
- Choose how you want to receive your User ID (email, text message or both), then click Retrieve User ID.
- After confirmation appears, click Close.
- You will be redirected to the identity portal homepage.
Outcome
You will receive your University of Louisville User ID via your selected method and be redirected to the identity portal.
