ITS Servers: How to Request a Managed Server Quote

This article explains how you can request a quote for an ITS‑managed server. Use this if you need pricing for a new server or an upgrade to an existing server. Providing complete information ensures your quote is accurate and processed without delays.

Instructions:

1. Determine the number of CPUs required for the server.
2. Identify the amount of SAN disk storage needed in gigabytes.
3. Specify the amount of RAM required in gigabytes.
4. Provide name for the server and business reason.
5. Choose operating system.
   • Windows
   • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
6. Choose the backup type.
   • On‑premise or disaster recovery.
   • All backups are for 30 days.
7. Provide a technical and billing contact for the request.
8. Provide the Worktag to be used for billing.
9. Submit the collected information to ITS for quote processing.
