What is a Cardinal Card?
The Cardinal Card is the official identification card for University of Louisville students, faculty, and staff. It is used
to access a variety of university services and resources.
What can I use my Cardinal Card for?
Depending on your affiliation and assigned access, your Cardinal Card may be used for:
• University identification
• Access to campus buildings and other secured areas
• Meal plans and dining purchases
• Cardinal Cash purchases
• On-campus printing
• Other university services requiring identification or card access
What is Cardinal Cash?
Cardinal Cash is a declining-balance account associated with your Cardinal Card. Funds deposited into Cardinal
Cash can be used for purchases at participating on-campus locations, participating off-campus merchants, and for
on-campus printing.
Cardinal Cash is separate from a university meal plan.
Atrium Campus Connect App
The Atrium Campus Connect app provides students with convenient access to their Cardinal Card and meal plan
information.
Students can use the app to:
• View meal plan balances and monitor available meal plan funds.
• Add funds to Cardinal Cash or eligible dining meal tenders.
• Review meal plan transactions and recent account activity.
• Make a Cardinal Card inactive using the active/inactive toggle if the card is lost or stolen. This helps prevent the
card from being used while it is missing.
• Reactivate the Cardinal Card using the toggle if the card is recovered.
If your Cardinal Card is permanently lost or stolen, contact the Cardinal Card Office for information about obtaining
a replacement card.

Contact the Cardinal Card Office if you need assistance with:
• Obtaining or replacing a Cardinal Card
• A Cardinal Card that is not working
• Replacing a permanently lost, stolen, or damaged Cardinal Card
• Cardinal Cash balances or transactions
• Meal plan access on your Cardinal Card
• Other Cardinal Card account-related questions
For building or door access issues, additional assistance from the department responsible for the location may be
required.
