Objective or Task

Manage a probation period for an employee in Workday.

Instructions

  1. From the Workday landing page, open your Inbox.

  2. Locate Manage Probation Period under the Actions view column.

  3. On the Add Probation Period page, enter a value for Type.

  4. Enter a value for Reason.

  5. In the Probation Length section, review the default values.

  6. Update the Probation Start Date if needed.

  7. Update the Probation End Date if needed.

  8. Update the Probation Duration if needed.

  9. In the Probation Review section, review the default values.

  10. Update the Probation Review Date if needed.

  11. Review the Schedule value and update it only if the Probation Review Date is incorrect.

  12. Select Submit.

Outcome

The probation period is successfully recorded in Workday and scheduled for manager review.
