This article explains how to view a worker’s history in Workday by category. Viewing worker history by category helps you track business processes, see the status of transactions, and identify who still needs to take action on a process.

Objective or Task

View and track a worker’s business process history by category in Workday.


Instructions

  1. Open the worker’s profile in Workday using one of the following methods:

    • From the Workday landing page, search for the worker by name and open the Worker Profile.
  2. Access View Worker History by Category using one of these options:

    • From Actions, select Worker History, then select View Worker History by Category.
    • From the Job tab on the worker profile, open the Worker History section and select View Worker History by Category.
  3. Review the View Worker History by Category report.

    • Business processes are grouped by category to help narrow results.
    • Use column filters to locate a specific transaction.
  4. Select the business process name to open the transaction details.

  5. Open the Process tab to review workflow details.

    • Completed steps
    • Pending steps
    • Individuals responsible for each step
  6. Select Remaining Process to see what actions are still required and who the task is assigned to, if applicable.


Outcome

You can successfully locate, review, and track the status of business processes associated with a worker, including completed actions and remaining approval steps.
