Objective or Task:

Understand and manage unpaid leaves of absence and time off in Workday.

Instructions:

  1. Submit an unpaid Leave of Absence request in Workday.
  2. Wait for the leave of absence request to be approved.
  3. Review the Absence Calendar for the approved leave.
  4. Open the Inbox task generated for the Timekeeper.
  5. Enter time off on behalf of the employee for eligible dates.
  6. Include holidays as applicable.
  7. Submit the time off request for approval.

Outcome:

The employee remains unpaid for leave days without approved time off and is paid through approved time off for eligible days during the unpaid leave of absence.
