Objective or Task:

Enter a time off request on behalf of an employee in Workday.

Instructions:

  1. Enter Enter Absence in the Workday search bar.
  2. Select Enter Absence from the search results.
  3. Enter the employee’s name.
  4. Select the requested dates on the calendar.
  5. Select Request Absence.
  6. Select the appropriate Type of time off.
  7. Confirm the From date.
  8. Confirm the To date.
  9. Select Edit Quantity per Day.
  10. Enter the number of hours for each day.
  11. Select Done.
  12. Enter Comments if needed.
  13. Attach supporting documentation if required.
  14. Select Submit.

Outcome:

The time off request is submitted on behalf of the employee and routed to the appropriate approver in Workday.
