How to Create or Change Your PIN for Your Student Account

This article explains how you can create or change your student account PIN. Use this when you want to allow a parent or other individual to make payments on your behalf or when you need to reset your existing PIN.

Objective or Task

A PIN is used to validate a student's identify when contacting offices such as Student Financials.  (Bursar)

For the Bursar's office, individuals contacting the office on behalf of a student will need to supply the PIN number information.

Instructions

1. Sign in to the Student Portal. (ulink.lousiville.edu)
2. Select Student System
3. Log into Student System using UserID and Password
4. Click the Profile tile
5. Select PIN from the left‑side menu
6. Enter a numeric PIN up to six digits
7. Click Save

Outcome

Your student account PIN is created or updated and is available for immediate use.

Important Information

• Your PIN allows a parent or other authorized individual to access and make payments on your student account.
• If you want to remove someone’s access, change your PIN.
• If you forget your PIN, enter a new one and save it to replace the old PIN immediately.
