EndNote: How to Install and Activate EndNote 2025

This guide is for anyone who needs to set up EndNote 2025 for academic or research purposes. You can install EndNote 2025 directly from the online webstore. The process is quick because activation is automatic—no separate key is required.

• Close all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook.
• Teams does not need to be closed.

Instructions:

1. Go to UofL Web Store in your web browser.
2. Download the EndNote 2025 installer for your operating system (exe for Windows, dmg for Mac).
3. Double-click the downloaded installer file.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
5. Wait for the software to auto-activate. You will not need to enter an activation key.
