Add a Safe Sender to Junk Email Options from Office 365 client

Summary

You can add trusted email addresses to your Safe Senders list in Outlook to ensure important messages are not marked as junk. This is helpful for receiving emails from specific senders, such as university services or automated systems.

Outlook: How to Add an Email to Safe Senders

 

Before You Begin:

  • You need access to Outlook or Office 365.
  • Make sure you are signed in with your university email account.
  • If you are not in Cached mode, you may see an extra prompt.

Objective or Task:

Add an email address to your Safe Senders list in Outlook.


Instructions:

  1. Open Outlook or Office 365.
  2. Go to the Home menu.
  3. Click Junk.
  4. Select Junk E-mail Options.
  5. If prompted and you are not in Cached mode, click OK to continue.
  6. In the Junk E-mail Options window select the Safe Senders tab.


     
  7. Click the Add… button.
  8. Enter the email address you want to add (for example, PrintAnywhere@Louisville.DoNotReply.edu).
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click OK again to close the window.


Outcome:

After completing these steps emails from the address you added will be delivered to your inbox and not marked as junk.
