2. ITS Infrastructure Cost Allocations - How Are the Rates Calculated?
-
Starting in FY22/23 university units and departments receive an annual ITS Infrastructure Cost Allocation based on a percentage of their annual budget.
-
This allocation supports network, Internet, telephones and Microsoft Office365 Suite.
-
The single charge replaces previous NBI and Microsoft Campus Agreement charges.
-
The UofL budget office determines allocation amounts for VPs and Deans each year.
-
Allocations may increase based on service costs, maintenance, and upgrades.
-
Units and departments implement the allocation as part of the budget process.
-
Direct questions to your unit business manager or Lead Fiscal Officer (LFO).
-
Microsoft now assigns licenses to individual users, not by IPEDS data.
-
All departments are billed through ITS Infrastructure Cost Allocations.
-
Active sponsored accounts as of July 1 are billed in July; new requests are billed in the month created.
-
Students are covered based on departmental participation.
