Emergency Notifications: How to Receive UofL RAVE Alerts

UofL Alerts is the university’s emergency notification system used to communicate urgent safety information to students, faculty and staff. Alerts are sent via text, email, voice and social media during emergencies such as severe weather, campus threats or closures. The system is powered by Rave Mobile Safety.

Before You Begin
- Ensure you have valid UofL login credentials.
- Confirm your contact information is up to date in the UofL Alerts system.
Instructions
Access UofL Alerts Settings
- Go to UofL Alerts.
- Click the link to log in to the Rave Mobile Safety portal using your UofL credentials.
Update Your Contact Information
- Add or update your mobile phone number, email address and other contact methods.
- Choose your preferred notification channels (text, voice, email).
- You may add multiple phone numbers or emails to receive alerts on multiple devices.
Understand Alert Types
- Alerts may include severe weather warnings, campus closures, active threats or other emergencies.
- Messages are sent via text, email, voice calls and posted to UofL’s official social media accounts.
Follow UofL Safety Channels
- Monitor UofL’s X social media (@UofLSafety) and other official platforms for real-time updates.
- Visit safety.louisville.edu for preparedness resources and emergency procedures.
