Classroom Design Consultation: How to Request and Use UofL Services

Our instructional technology support team can assist with integrated digital classroom design and advise on technology purchases. Additionally, we provide technical advice on existing technology systems and recommendations for modifications of technology to enhance learning and digital communication. Before You Begin

Ensure you have approval from your Dean or Vice President for classroom design projects.
Gather information about your space, needs and goals.

Objective or Task

Learn how to request classroom design consultation and collaborate with UofL experts.

Instructions

Request a Consultation

  • Contact University Planning, Design & Construction (UPDC) at updc@louisville.edu.
  • Provide details about your project, including location, goals, and any support documents.

Meet with Design Experts

  • UPDC will review your request and schedule a consultation.
  • Discuss space programming, ADA accommodations, technology needs and furniture options.

Review and Approve Plans

  • Collaborate on design proposals and review recommendations.
  • Approve final plans before construction or installation begins.

Outcome

After completing these steps you will have a customized classroom design plan that meets your department’s needs and university standards.
