Before You Begin
- Make sure you have access to your account email or registered phone number.
- Confirm you know your current password or have access to password recovery options.
- Prepare any necessary credentials or verification methods.
- For service accounts, the first name, last name, and user ID of the service account are the same. For example, the service account ServiceAccountExample has the following first name, last name, and user ID:
- First Name: ServiceAccountExample
- Last Name: ServiceAccountExample
- User ID: ServiceAccountExample

Special Note
Consider using Leetspeak or L33t$p3@k to strengthen your password
Leetspeak, often stylized as "L33t" or "l33T," is an alternative alphabet used primarily on the internet. It replaces letters in words with numbers or other characters that resemble the letters they replace. The term "leet" comes from "elite," referencing users who were considered skilled or elite within online communities.

Instructions
Unlock ULink User Id
- Go to the Identity Management Portal: https://identity.louisville.edu
- If your account is locked, select Unlock Account and follow the prompts.
- Wait up to 30 minutes if the account does not unlock immediately.
If you forgot your ULink User ID
- Go to the Identity Management Portal: https://identity.louisville.edu (or https://password.louisville.edu which will take you to the same page.)
- Click on Forgot your UserID? and follow the prompts.
Outcome
After completing these steps, your account will be unlocked. You will be able to log in securely with your UL credentials.
